International Day for Women in Maritime

Everlux Maritime proudly joins the celebration of the International Day for Women in Maritime, established by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), on May 18^th!

In 2025, the theme is "An Ocean of Opportunities for Women”, which celebrates the "emerging prospects and transformative leadership roles women can assume in reshaping a traditionally male-dominated industry”.

This Day is celebrated worldwide every year with the goal of promoting the recruitment, retention and sustained employment of women in the maritime sector, as well as to help raising "the profile of women in maritime, strengthen IMO's commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 5 (genderequality) andsupport work toaddress the current gender imbalance in maritime”.
